In 2005 Rhayader by Nature collaborated with CARAD (https://carad.org.uk/) to make a 48 minute film called “Inspired by Nature” for CARAD’s Summer Exhibition. The film was put together through contributions and help from many people during the spring of 2005, providing a useful introduction to the landscape and wildlife of the area at the time.

About the Film
From the earliest time we have been “inspired by nature”.
Featuring strongly in our hearts, and in the art of our poetry, painting, drawings, photography, sculpture, dance and prayer; Nature is part of us.
It is reflected in our music and throughout our design and architecture.
Broadcaster and writer David Attenborough said:
“I know of no pleasure deeper than that which comes from contemplating the natural world and trying to understand it”
Poets, artists, composers – all have made similar statements about Nature’s overpowering strength. Yet Nature stands totally neutral – whatever Man becomes. Nature is both everything and nothing.
“She” is totally unselfish – indifferent in the affairs of Man, yet Man is totally dependent upon her.
