Waxwings in Rhayader

After a long wait some Waxwings have been spotted near St Clements church in Rhayader (by Tony Ware – see the Radnorshire Bird Blog).

Worth checking anywhere with berries in town – judging by posts elsewhere they like ash berries but will eat almost any berry including sloe, rosehips and hawthorn. They will also sometimes take to apples.
