Harlequin Ladybirds

Whilst painting the outside of the porch this afternoon a couple of harlequin ladybirds landed in the paint – first records I have here. They both copped it unfortunately.

One Response to Harlequin Ladybirds

I also had a first record of Harlequin Ladybird in my Rhayader garden this week. The first Radnorshire record of this species was only a couple of years ago. They spread so quickly! There doesn’t seem to have been that many ladybirds around this year. Another rapidly spreading beetle to look out for is the bright red Lily Beetle. So check your garden lilies next year. Any Radnorshire beetle records gratefully received. Phil
