Summer Chafer

Amazingly, Phil Ward has identified a beetle I found in the Craig Llyn pond last year as a Summer Chafer, Aphimallon Solstitialis. He wrote, “This is certainly the first record on the BIS database and I certainly don’t have any records in the Radnorshire Beetle database.
There is only a handful of Welsh coastal records although a bit more widespread in SE England.”
This is what it looks like Its friend is a discytus marginalis.
