Gamrhiw today

A trip up Gamrhiw, Llanwrthwl this morning produced a nice male Grouse which shot up from my feet. Also a kestrel, 3 pairs of whinchat, 1 pair stonechat (usually 5 pairs on this walk), 4 pairs wheatear, snipe, green woodpecker, redstart, linnet, 2 cuckoo. Low numbers of skylark and meadow pipit after the winter. Also on the summit a common lizard, a common heath (day flying moth), and an unidentified beetle which was long and thin with a copper band halfway down its body and yellow spots near the tail (any ideas?).
